LAWTON, Okla. (March 22, 2016) - When Dr. Karen Clark was deciding her career path nearly 30 years ago, she was called to the field of medicine where she could combine her fascination of physiology and human anatomy with her love of helping people.
Clark brings her passion for people and science to her new role as a board-certified cardiologist at Oklahoma Heart Hospital’s clinic in Lawton.
"I am excited to provide the very best and most compassionate care to the Lawton community," she said. "I offer personal, empathetic care and believe in open communication where patients feel comfortable asking me anything and letting me know what they want."
Clark received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She completed her internship, residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas and her fellowship in cardiology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
In her spare time, Clark enjoys biking, serving as a commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves and spending time with her 8-year-old son, Cooper, who she considers the "best boy ever."
