Dr. Hennebry joined OHHP in November of 2011. Prior to that he was the Director of Endovascular Interventions and a Presidential Professor at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Hennebry spent 7 years at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore before moving to Oklahoma. He has broad interests and expertise in interventional cardiology ranging from coronary stenting, closure of cardiac defects such as PFO/ASD, intracardiac echo, aortic and pulmonary valvulopasty, and alcohol septal ablation for the treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. In vascular medicine he has expertise in carotid stenting, renal stenting to preserve kidney function, and the treatment of chronic and acute limb ischemia. He also has expertise in the use of IVC filters and contemporary approaches to treating DVT. Dr. Hennebry has described multiple new treatment approaches in many of these areas and has written for the American College of Cardiology review book on prevention of cardiac disease and also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Interventional Cardiology.
