Medical Office Building Opens Expanding Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Clinical Services

OKLAHOMA CITY—Physicians, nurses, administrators and civic leaders held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to open the new Oklahoma Heart Hospital South │Medical Office Building located adjacent to the existing facility. The new $12 million, three-story, 70,000 square foot medical office building will expand diagnostic, clinical and cardiac rehab services on the Oklahoma Heart Hospital South Campus at I-240 and Sooner Road.

“When we completed the original hospital on this location our next goal was to bring the physician’s offices directly on campus to put them within footsteps of their patients. Physician access will improve our already superior response times in the ER, cath lab and OR,” said Dr. John Harvey, CEO/President Oklahoma Heart Hospital. “Physician proximity is a key factor in the success of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital North Campus, and we want that for the people of South Oklahoma City and Eastern Oklahoma County as well.  This new office building will initially bring 25 cardiovascular specialists on campus with the potential for many more.”

“Increased clinical space will allow us to dramatically expand our diagnostic and cardiac rehab services for patients who are not being admitted to the hospital,” said John Austin, COO OHH South.  “We can now provide state-of-the-art cardiac MRI and outpatient cardiovascular rehabilitation services while expanding our other diagnostic capabilities in nuclear medicine, ultrasound and echocardiography and pulmonary function testing.”
