200th TAVR Aortic Valve Replacement
OKLAHOMA CITY—Oklahoma Heart Hospital was one of the first hospitals in the nation and the first in Oklahoma to offer patients a new minimally-invasive technique for replacing the most critical valve in the heart – the aortic valve - without open heart surgery. On April 30, Oklahoma Heart Hospital will celebrate the successful implantation of 200 aortic valves using a procedure called transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). The event will be a reunion of TAVR patients, their families and their OHH cardiologists and nurses.
